Patricia Ann Garner, the mother of Patricia Ann, taught at an area college. The father of her was an engineer in the chemical industry which is why she wanted to be similar to him. Then she moved into New York in order to fulfill her ambitions as an actor. While she was appearing in Broadway productions, she was a waitress at an adjacent restaurant. Her first husband Scott Foley met her on the television show "Felicity," where she played a cameo. Garner was given her first major role on the screen in "13 Goin' on 30", a romantic comedy well-received. Garner played a teenage girl who was trapped within the body of an adult.
